General project objectives

To contribute to the development and competitiveness of small and medium-sized companies in the industrial production and development of final products by enhancing technological innovations and the transfer of knowledge.

To position the Šibenik-Knin County as a regional industrial leader in innovations in the sectors of light metals and maritime, enhancing sustainable economic growth.

Specific project objectives

To build (reconstruct) and equip innovative research capacities for development of industrial products with emphasis on the light metal industry, maritime and other related industries and products in Šibenik-Knin County.

To develop and enhance cooperation between institutions for stimulation of entrepreneurship, scientific and institutions for research and development, high-education institutions and small and medium-sized companies by connecting physical, human and technological resources.

Target groups

Institutions for stimulation of entrepreneurship (7 institutions with more than 40 employees).

Small and medium-sized companies in the sector of light metals, primarily in the production of aluminum and application of aluminum products in maritime (at least 20 in wider region).

Unemployed persons from Šibenik-Knin County (at least 20).

Innovators’ Association "Faust Vrančić" from Šibenik with more than 40 members.

End users

Units of local and regional governments (Šibenik-Knin, Zadar and Split-Dalmatia Counties).

Small and medium-sized companies and their employees.

Local population in Šibenik-Knin County.

Young, educated, unemployed persons.

Main activities

Arrangement and equipment of 800 m2 of facilities in the east wing of iNavis Center.

Establishment of institutional network for supporting small and medium-sized companies.

Construction of institutional capacities for the initial phase of the Development-Innovation Center (iNavis).

Promotion of services of the Development-Innovation Center and of possibilities for accepting investments.
